Individual Road Test

• Individual road tests are available on Thursdays or Fridays between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM only. 
  • These tests are conducted at the South Yarmouth Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV): 
    1084 Route 28, South Yarmouth, MA 02664 

• Requirements 

  • All driver education requirements must be completed 
  • The student must book their own road test through the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) website: 
    Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles | Mass.gov 

• CMSC Road Test: 

  • To request CMSC support for an individual road test, email John at [e-mail] or call the call center. Please include: 
    • Student’s full name 
    • Date of birth 
    • Road test location 
    • Road test time 
  • The CMSC vehicle will meet the student at the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) 15 minutes prior to the test for a warm-up before the exam. 

• Costs 

  • CMSC road test fee: $299 
  •  Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) license fee: $85. This includes: 
    • License printing/mailing fee: $50 (one-time fee; not charged again if the student fails)     
    •  Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) test administration fee: $35   
  • If a student fails the road test, additional Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) fee of $35 to retest, paid directly to the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV).
